Everest Base camp Trek

  • Everest Base Camp Trek

Overview

Everest Base Camp Trekking is the most popular and iconic mountain trail trek. Trekkers who are in good health with average physical fitness, and have trekking experiences can sign up for Mount Everest Base Camp Trek. However, beginners with good health and average physical fitness can also go through Everest Base Camp Trekking. For veteran trekkers who wish to take up more challenge and stay off the beaten path, this would be an ideal choice.

Trek to Everest Base Camp begins from the flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Namche Bazaar is the entry point of the Everest Trek route. Mount Everest Base Camp Trek, the world's most awesome and iconic mountain trail trek takes us to the plot of the world famous Sherpa villages, the quaint Namche Bazaar, Sagarmatha National Park and high altitude Buddhist monasteries. It offers diverse and wonderful views of snow covered mountains, glaciers and small peaks. The Altitude Mountain Sickness is a common condition and should be avoided by ensuring proper acclimatization.

It is where four of the world's six tallest peaks including Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Cho-Oyu and, of course Mt. Everest lies. Our 14-day Mount Everest Base Camp Trek is a great introductory trek for those travelers who wish to reach the base camp of Mount Everest in a short period of time. Please, contact Two Brothers Treks and Expeditions for further information.

Greatest period

Mid Sept to mid Dec and March to May is the best period for the Everest Base Camp Trek. The climate is fine and lukewarm so you can experience terrific views. But the nights are cold and can fall to icy level in higher altitude. Winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) is also good for Everest Base Camp Trek, the only problem is temperature is too cold. Trekking in monsoon (June, July) will be affected by rain. The hike paths are busy from the period of mid Sept to mid Dec and March to May. But during the monsoon and winter the paths are not crowded and tourist can enjoy the most excellent view of Himalayas.
