Greatest period

Mid Sept to mid Dec and March to May is the best period for the Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lake. The climate is fine and lukewarm with terrific views. But the nights are cold and can fall to icy level in higher altitude. Winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) is also good for Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lake, the only problem is cold weather. Trekking in monsoon (June, July) will be affected by rain. The hike paths are busy for the period of mid Sept to mid Dec and March to May.
