Mid Sept to mid Dec and March to May is the best period for the Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri Trek. The climate is fine and lukewarm with terrific views. But the nights are cold and can fall to icy level in higher altitude. Winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) is also good for Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri Trek, the only problem is cold temperature. Trekking in monsoon (June, July) will be affected by rain. The hike paths are busy for the period of mid Sept to mid Dec and March to May. But in the duration of monsoon and winter the paths are not crowded and tourist can enjoy the most excellent view that nature has to present.
1st Day: Arrive in Kathmandu (1300 m/4264 ft)

2nd Day: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek preparation
After breakfast, we set out for the city sightseeing to the historical monuments. You will visit UNESCO world heritage sites, which include Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Darbar Squar, Bhaktapur Darbar Square, Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath and Pashupatinath. We will give you briefing about the trekking you begin from tomorrow at hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu
3rd Day: Fly to Lukla (2,800 m/9,184 ft), trek to Phakding (2,652 m/8,700 ft): 3 - 4 hours
The 40 minutes flight from Kathmandu takes us to Lukla, the gateway of the Everest region. After a short briefing and introduction, we head to Phakding, exploring the views of the surrounding. Overnight at Phakding
4th Day: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft): 5 - 6 hours
The trail goes along with the Dudh Koshi River with many suspension bridges. Exploring the typical Sherpa villages, we reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. After we pass another village, Jorsale we reach to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar
5th Day: Namche Bazaar: acclimatization
On the fourth day we take rest in Namche Bazaar to get rid of altitude sickness. Since it is the acclimatization day, we can visit the local market and hike to Thame. We also get an opportunity to explore the culture and tradition of the Sherpa people. Overnight at lodge
6th Day: Namche Bazaar to Phorse (3810 m/ 12,496 ft): 5 - 6 hours
After breakfast we set out from Namche Bazaar, following the trail to the east, where there is Sagarmatha National Park. Crossing the rhododendron forest and exploring the mountain views we reach Phorse. Overnight at Phorse
7th Day: Phorse Village to Machhermo-(4,470 m/ 14,663 ft): 5 - 6 hours
After breakfast we commence our journey to Machhermo. Crossing the bridge of the Dudh Koshi River and passing many waterfalls and bridges, we arrive at Dole. We continue walking through small villages and finally reach Machhermo. Overnight at Machhermo
8th Day: Machharmo to Gokyo (4800 m/15,744 ft): 5 - 6 hours
From Machhermo, we follow the rift of Gokyo Valley between Cho La and Ranja La Pass. Crossing the first lake Longpongo and second lake Taboche Tso, we reach to Gokyo village which stands by the third Laek Dudh Pokhari. Overnight at Gokyo
9th Day: Gokyo Valley: Climb Gokyo Ri (5357 m/17,570 ft) and hike to fifth lakes: 5 - 6 hours
The trail ascends to Gokyo Ri from where you can enjoy the magnificent views of the mountain panorama in the Khumbu region. We can also visit the fourth and fifth Gokyo Lake which lies north to Gokyo village. We trek back to Gokyo village and spent the night.
10th Day: Gokyo to Dole: 3 - 4 hours
From Gokyo Valley the trail descends along the Dudh Koshi River and passes the first Gokyo Lake. Finally, we reach Dole via Machhermo, Luza and Lhafarma village. Overnight at Dole
11th Day: Dole to Namche Bazaar: 4 - 5 hours
Today, we descend on a steep trail to Phortse Thanga following the rhododendron forest, wildflowers and waterfalls. While coming down to Namche, we visit Khumjung, culturally elegant village of the Khumbu. Overnight at Namche Bazaar
12th Day: Namche Bazaar to Lukla: 6 - 8 hours
From Namche Bazaar, we continue to trek down to Lukla, the last trekking day of the trip. Crossing the Phakding, Nurning and Sherpa villages we reach Lukla. Overnight at Lukla
13th Day: Fly to Kathmandu
In the early morning flight we fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla with the Everest scenarios. From the airport, we drive to the hotel and you can spend your rest of the time as you wish or can plan for some side trip.
14th Day: Final Departure
Your beautiful journey to the country of Himalayas ends today. The representative of Two Brothers Trek and Expedition will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport before 3 hours of your scheduled flight and wishes to have a safe journey.
